Our Mission Statement

All students at Chatsworth Park Elementary will have equal access to an innovative, engaging, safe, and enriched learning environment where hands-on, highly motivating, creative experiences are embedded in all academic areas. At Chatsworth Park Elementary, we nurture the whole child through our rigorous academic program which includes character education, technology, and critical thinking. Our goal is to provide our students with essential tools necessary to compete in the 21st century, to inspire them with a lifelong love of learning, and to create a partnership with our community that will facilitate a foundation for their future learning.

Our School Vision

For over 100 years, Chatsworth Park Elementary has provided an academically challenging program that not only meets academic standards and helps every child meet his/her full potential, but also offers a motivating individualized curriculum which fosters critical thinking, independence, and creativity. We envision students who can work individually and collaboratively to achieve according to their unique gifts and optimum learning ability. We believe that our students need to be respectful, resourceful, and responsible learners to meet the challenges of our rapidly changing world.

Our Model Program

Chatsworth Park Elementary is a small, Title 1 school that uses the lens of 21st century skills (communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity). Our model program involves all stakeholders—administration, teachers, support staff, students, families, and community. Throughout our campus (classrooms, science lab, computer lab, library), students utilize 21st century skills to engage in intellectual conversations, challenge their thinking, solve real-world problems, construct meaning, and convey their ideas effectively in written form. Our positive, supportive setting encourages critical thinking and values divergent viewpoints. We prepare students for college and 21st century careers!
