Drop Off & Pick Up Procedures

 

PARKING REMINDERS

The safety and security of the students is a priority. In order to provide maximum safety and security for all, it is agreed that:

 

  • All drivers will follow the established and published rules when using the parking circle.
  • All individuals will treat one another with mutual respect.
  • Traffic safety problems and concerns will be reported to the office at 818-341-1371.
 

 

Failure to follow the regulations creates dangerous and inconvenient situations for or students and community.

If possible, please park your vehicle in the neighborhood and enter the school as a pedestrian though the many pedestrian entrances.

 

Traffic Circle:

 
  • Parents must stay inside the vehicle at all times. 
  • Have your student ready to exit the vehicle.
  • Students must walk behind your vehicle if exiting on the driver's side only.
  • When exiting out of the parking lot, make a right hand turn only! No left turns are allowed!
  • The traffic circle closes at 8:00 a.m.
  • Visitor parking is available after 8:00 a.m.
  • Absolutely no parking in front of the trash cans/containers at any time.
  • Absolutely no parking in front of any gates that can be used in the event of an emergency.
  • No double parking.

 

 

Traffic Circle: Dismissal Time:

 

 

  • If your student is not waiting at the gate, please go out and re-enter the circle to keep the traffic flowing.
  • There is ABSOLUTELY NO PARKING on the north side of Devonshire at any time.
 
 
Hiawatha Gate:
 
  • Pull up to the curb on the school side to drop off your student. 
  • If you are arriving on the north side of the street; park your vehicle, use the crosswalk to walk your child across the road.
  • DO NOT let your student run out in the middle of the street!
 
 
 Staff Parking Lot (Devonshire & Topanga):
 
  • The Staff Parking lot at the corner of Devonshire and Topanga is designated as a staff parking lot only.
  • Under no circumstances should this be used for student drop off or pick up.

 

 

Be advised that the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) Traffic Division has been and will continue to monitoring and videotaping traffic. Violators will be issued a fine.
